Lady Priscilla C. Madu, RN, BSN, RCT
Director, Community Development
Lady Madu earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in 2006. Prior to her migrating to the United States of America, she graduated from the University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt Nigeria, in 1988, with a bachelor of science degree in Banking and Finance.
In pursuit of further education and professional growth, Lady Madu got her diplomas in Microcomputer Application Specialist in 1991, Paralegal Studies (with Honors) in 1994, and an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy Technician from CaliforniaCollege for Health Science in 1997.
Lady Madu has over 12 years of professional experience as Business Development Director for Africa with I.B.C. Inc. She worked as an accounts receivables personnel at Accu-Source/security Information Systems, a Dallas based corporation from 1990-1993, and also as a trauma nurse at Parkland Hospital from 2007-2009. She is currently the Director of Clinical Services at Metromed Nursing Institute located in Garland, Texas, and also a Field Nurse/Acute-case Manager at Sun Rise Home Health Care Services, a diversified and reputable home care provider serving the community for over twenty years.
As WAACCI Director of Community Development, her record as an instrument of positive impact within the community, vast educational background, experience in the business world and health care industry is a tremendous asset to WAACCI and to the community at large.
In 2004 in collaboration with Mrs. Dayo Keshi, the wife of ex-Consul General of Nigeria in Atlanta, she founded the Nigerian Women Association DFW (NWAD). The mission of NWAD is to promote unity, uplift the less privileged, educate, and empower women and youths. As the current president of NWAD, under her leadership she has mobilized humanitarian asset and financial resources to touch the sick and those in need within the Metroplex and beyond. NWAD has donated to Parkland hospital, Children’s Medical Center Dallas and volunteered at Salvation Army, Nursing homes and Katrina Disaster Relief effort.
Lady Madu is a member of St. Stephen’s Ministry and a Medical Mission Ambassador for-Mbaise USAInc, which provided free medical care to 7,500 and 13,000 people in Africa in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
She is a board member of Noble Foundation Inc, a non-profit entity that is focused in establishing skill and education center for orphans in West Africa; a former board member DFW International Community Alliance Inc, and has received Outstanding and Excellent Service Recognition Awards from Southern Corp and parochial organizations in DFW.
